The Government Printing Works (GPW) invites applications from suitably qualified graduates for an internship in ICT Security, Governance, Risk, Compliance, Strategy and Continuity. The successful candidate will gain practical exposure to cybersecurity operations, ICT governance frameworks, risk management, compliance monitoring, and business continuity planning within a secure and dynamic government ICT environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing ICT governance frameworks, policies, and standards
• Support risk assessment and mitigation processes for ICT systems and projects
• Participate in monitoring ICT security controls and incident management activities
• Contribute to the review and documentation of compliance with relevant ICT legislation and frameworks (eg POPIA, ISO 27001, NIST)
• Assist in business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing
• Support ICT audits and contribute to reporting on governance and risk indicators
• Participate in cybersecurity awareness and training programmes
• Maintain and update registers for ICT risks, incidents, and compliance findings

Qualifications

• A Diploma or Degree (NQF Level 6/7) in one of the following fields:
• BSc Computer Science with Cyber Security
• BCom Information Systems
• BSc Information Systems
• BCom Information Technology
• BSc Information Technology
• BCom Business Informatics
• Bachelor of IT in Business Systems
• Bachelor of Information Technology / Information Systems
